PUERTO CANCÚN OBTAINS IT’S BIGGEST SALE EVER

  • Hansa Urbana purchased the largest hotel lot in Puerto Cancún in order to build a five star hotel, villas and condominiums.
  • Puerto Cancún reaches 50% complete in urbanization efforts.

Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexico, February, 2006 - Hansa Urbana acquired through its affiliate in Mexico, Hotelera HM, a hotel lot larger than 100 thousand square meters in Puerto Cancún where it is planning to invest more than 325 million dollars for the development of a tourism/residential project. Hansa Urbana has over 15 year experience in the development and commercialization of these types of projects in Spain, and this operation marks its first business investment in Mexico.

Hotelera HM will build a 250-room five star hotel, approximately 35 residential villas, and luxury condominiums. The project’s Master Plan is being developed by the recognized architect Alberto Schutte.

The new project will contain all the services a luxury project should have, such as a sports center with SPA, tennis courts, pool and beach club. Hansa Urbana will start construction by the end of 2006 or beginning of 2007.

The Hansa Urbana transaction furthermore reaffirms Puerto Cancún’s commercial success. Already all condo and commercial lots along Bonampak Avenue have been sold, as well as 70% of all single-family residential lots.

On a different note, Puerto Cancún continues urbanization works, already reaching more than 50%. This percentage corresponds to 90% advancement with the dredging of the marina waterways, and 70% advancement in primary roads.

Puerto Cancún will start this Spring its 18-hole championship golf course designed by Tom Weiskopf, one of the most recognized golf designers of the world.
